Fusion Hair Extensions are considered to be 'the big hitters' in the hair extension world! They enable my clients to get about 4 months wear without any maintenance! I consider these extensions to be the best overall for all hair types because the bond itself can be cut down and customized to match the appropriate density of the hair it's being attached to. There isnt any wear and tear on the natural hair if enough hair is incorporated into the bond. A full head application takes anywhere from 3 to 4 hours to apply based on how much hair is ordered to complete the look!
These types of hair extensions in my personal opinion offer the biggest comfort level and the most flexability with virtually all hair styles.
Great Lengths Hair Extensions and Hair Dreams Hair Extension lines are the most commonly known 'fusion' hair extensions. I am proudly certified in both (in addition to a few other brands) to offer a full range of options for my clientele. Fusion extensions are 'fused' and molded around the hair with materials that are easily relased when it's time for removal. Cold Fusion and Thermal Methods are used to attach the extensions; determining which one to use depends on the hair type in addition to a few other variables.

JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE INSTALL
Thoughtful removal.
With any type of hair extension, the removal process is the most important part of the service! Over the course of wearing your extensions, your hair is still growing; about two inches of outgrowth is expected once your removal appointment approaches. I like to take my time removing these extensions as new growth is present. Having a gentle hand, a meticulous mindset as well as patience is what leaves my clients walking away feeling confident that their hair is still in great shape after removal.
To remove the bonds, I like to use a few different solutions (depending on the extensions bonds.) The plyers to the left are used sticly to mesh the removal solution into the bonds so they slowly break apart. Once this happens, the extension gently slides down the hair shaft leaving your natural hair in place.

The Colorization Process:
The only processes performed on Great Lengths hair is our colorization process. The result is colorfast hair that has not been subjected to damaging ammonia and/or bleach chemicals to remove the hairs original color.
The benefit of this GL patented process goes beyond the Great Lengths hair quality, it makes Great Lengths International the only Company that can factually state that there is no negative Eco impact from our production process. This point becomes magnified when compared to the significant negative eco impact created by all hair processing facilities, of which the overwhelming majority are located in China and Indonesia where there are no effective regulatory agencies to monitor such production.
The Great Lengths Synthesized Keratin Bond:
In 1992, Great Lengths International developed and patented the first pre tipped, synthesized keratin bond polymer. Because of this ground breaking technology, many if not all extension companies now claim a “keratin bond” as their form of attachment. Factually, any form of keratin can be combined with any type of polymer to qualify as a “keratin” bond, regardless if it makes any functional difference or benefit in the bond itself. Unfortunately “keratin bond” has become more a marketing feature than a functional benefit. The GL Synthesized Keratin Bond molecular structure is specifically designed to mimic the molecular structure of human hair. The result gives the GL bond functionality that is not available in any other hair bonding compound in the marketplace. The functionality is the GL bond has the ability to expand and contract with human hair. For example, when you wash your hair or get it wet, the hair shaft expands. When it dries it contracts. Bonds that do not possess such function will soon begin to shed the extensions and ultimately slide off the client’s natural hair completely because the bond is being stretched with no capacity to contract each time the client’s natural hair expands and contracts. This is a Great Lengths exclusive feature.
